Bill Rock, age 84, of Dresher, PA passed away Monday, August 21, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife Pat; his sons, Bill, Michael, Ted, Bob and Jerry; his daughter, Kathy; grandchildren, Jill, Casey, Megan, Jackson, Kathryn Rose, John, Bridget, Julia, Sean, Jamie, Allie and Sam; great grandchildren, Kayla and Connor; he is preceded in death by his son, Danny, and by his sister, Kay. Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, August 25, 2017, Helweg & Rowland Funeral Home, 1059 Old York Road, Abington, PA where friends will be received from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. He accomplished so much in his life including a Villanova Track Scholarship, coached by Jumbo Elliot with his fellow Olympians. He served during the Korean War as a Lieutenant in the Marine Corps. He and Pat were avid cyclists with BCP and SCU bike clubs. His most important role was as the heart and soul of a big, boisterous and loving family.
