Obituary

Walter John Cantley, Jr., age 82, of Ft. Washington died on December 27, 2016. He graduated from Jenkintown High School in 1952 and from Yale University in 1956. He proudly served as a pilot with the US Air Force. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan Haenn Cantley, his loving sons: Christopher B. Cantley and wife, Anabel Gondelles, and Walter J. Cantley, III; by his dear step-children and their spouses: Jay and Marie Haenn, Mark and Ann Haenn, Geoffrey and Lori Haenn; by his brother, Larry Cantley and by 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Stephanie Haenn and by his brother, David Cantley. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 5, 2017, Episcopal Church of Our Saviour, 821 Homestead Road (at Old York Road) Jenkintown, PA, where relatives and friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Lung Association, 1200 Hosford St., Suite 101, Hudson, WI 54016-9316 (www.lung.org)
