Obituary

ROSEMARY REILLY HEIDT, age 91, a resident of Lower Moreland Township for the past 49 years and formerly of Abington Township, died on November 2, 2017 while hospitalized in Meadowbrook, PA. She was the beloved spouse of the late Joseph Edward Heidt, whom she married in 1953. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Henrietta R. Reilly and Thomas J. Reilly. Mrs. Heidt attended Mount Saint Joseph Academy and was a proud graduate of Rosemont College (Class of 1949), where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Upon graduation and before marriage, she worked for the Federal Reserve Bank and a local bank. Throughout her life, her faith was strong. At graduation from Rosemont College, Archbishop Fulton J Sheen, who she befriended and remained in contact with for years after graduation, presented her with the school's award for Excellence in Religion. She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Parish since 1968 and a former member of St. Hilary of Poitiers Parish, St. Cecilia Parish, St. Matthias Parish and St. Malachy Parish. She was an avid follower of current national and international news, and business events. She is survived by her children; Joseph R. Heidt and his wife Anna of Huntingdon Valley, Richard J. Heidt of Huntingdon Valley, Cynthia A. Heidt of Leesburg, VA, Martin W. Heidt and his wife Wilebeth of Oviedo, FL and by six grandchildren. Her husband as well as her brother, Thomas J. Reilly, II, predeceased her. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, November 09, 2017 at Our Lady Help of Christians Church. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery.
