Orlando Alvarez, Sr., age 83, of Northeast Philadelphia, died on December 4, 2012. He was the devoted husband of the late Maria E. Alvarez. He is survived by his loving son, Orlando Alvarez, M.D. and his wife, Patricia; by his dear grandsons, Robert Alvarez and Christopher Alvarez and by his sister, Blanca. Funeral service will be held at 4:30 PM on Sunday, December 9, 2012, Baron Rowland Funeral Home, 1059 Old York Road, Abington, where relatives and friends will be received from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
