Maurice A. Snyder, "Maury", age 88 of Ardsley, Pa, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on August 18, 2018. He was the beloved husband of 60 years of Patricia Ann Snyder, loving father of Maury Jr. (Beth), Stephen (Lynn), Diane (Paul), adoring Poppop of Hope, Emelia, Connor, Shannon (Zac), Andrew (Aynye'), Nick (Kate), Matthew, Meghan (James), Katie and Great Pop to Brayden James, Nora Reese, and Greyson (due Sept. 2018) Maury spent 54 years as a treasured employee of Abington Township, holding many different titles over the years. He lived to love and protect his family, his happiest times were spent with family and friends, of which he had many. He loved to take his morning drive, visiting friends and family on his way, and sit outside and take in all that the world had to offer. A viewing will be held Thursday, August 23rd from 6-8 p.m. with a Memorial Service from 8-9 p.m. at Helweg & Rowland Funeral Home, 1059 Old York Rd., Abington, PA 19001. Burial will be held on Friday, August 24th at 9 a.m., at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA 18940. A funeral procession will gather at 7:15 a.m. Friday at Helweg & Rowland Funeral Home to proceed to the cemetery.
