Martha M. Hochman, age 55, a 16-year resident of Lansdale died on January 27, 2012. She was the beloved wife of Jerome Hochman, for 26 years. Born in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late George K. Purdon and the late Claire Blackburn Purdon. Martha graduated from Michigan State University in 1980. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, weaving and knitting and was a member of the Philadelphia Weavers Guild. She was a member of Temple Judea of Bucks County. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving daughters, Abby and Betsy; by her sister, Claire Mak of Bloomfield, MI and by her brothers, Timothy Purdon of Canton, MI and Joseph Purdon of Tampa, FL. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Horsham Road (RT. 463) and Limekiln Pike (Rt. 152), Ambler.
