Lois Owens Scherr, age 98, of Glenside died on August 30, 2011. She was the devoted wife of the late Paul H. Scherr and the loving mother of Susan S. Hoffman and Nancy L. McNair. 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren also survive her. She was expecting the birth of 2 additional grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 9, 2011, Baron Rowland Funeral Home, 1059 Old York Road, Abington, PA, where friends will be received from 10:00 until the time of the service. Entombment will be in Lawnview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to First Presbyterian Church of Olney 5435 N. Third St., Phila., PA 19120 or to VNA Hospice of Phila., 3300 Henry Ave., Phila., PA 19129.
