Obituary

Lois Trimble Copeland, age 97, a resident of Normandy Farms Estates for 13 years, died on February 10, 2024. Lois was a previous resident of Huntingdon Valley for 25 years and Abington for 32 years. She was the devoted wife of the late John E. "Jack" Copeland for 65 years.

Born in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, Lois was the daughter of the late James Roth Trimble and the late Caroline W. Burger. After graduating from Germantown High School, she attended Hood College, from where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics in 1947. Lois was employed as a Library Assistant for approximately 10 years with the Abington School District, from where she retired in 1988. Prior to becoming an employee, Lois enjoyed volunteering in the Abington School District libraries.

Lois was a long time member of PEO and, in her spare time, enjoyed reading, traveling and most especially spending time with her beloved family.

She is survived by her children, John E. Copeland, Jr. (Michele) of Newberry, FL, James T. Copeland (Darlene) of Willow Street, PA, Nancy Copeland Winterer (Frank) of New Durham, NH, 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Copeland Latta.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn, PA.
