James Patrick Kelly, age 91, formerly of Abington, PA died on December 25, 2016. He was the beloved husband of June Evans Kelly for 52 years. Born in Philadelphia, Jim was the beloved son of the late John R. and Mary Harley Kelly. Jim served in the US Navy as a corpsman and was stationed at the Naval Base in Philadelphia. After the war he was employed by the Pillling Surgical Instrument Company for many years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving daughters and their husbands; Megan and Tom Houston and Diane and Jimmy Wolfgang, by his dear grandchildren: Joshua Houston, Benjamin Houston, Hannah Houston Jonathon Wolfgang and Daniel Wolfgang, by his brother, Robert, three nieces, and by many cousins and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his son, James P. Kelly, Jr. and by his brother, John R. Kelly. Memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, Abington Presbyterian Church, 1082 Old York Road (at Susquehanna Road) Abington. There will be a greeting and reception in the Parish Hall after the service. Interment in George Washington Memorial Park will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of your choice.
