Irene
Gulli
Dec 26, 1932 — Oct 19, 2024
Irene Petkewick Gulli, age 91, a resident of Artis Senior Living in Huntingdon Valley, PA since March 2020, and formerly East Norriton, PA and Philadelphia, PA died on October 19, 2024. She was the devoted wife of the late Nick D. Gulli for 68 years.
Born in Philadelphia, Irene was the daughter of the late Adolph Petkewick and the late Tess Maychak Petkewick.
Irene was always smiling! Every person she met could feel her sweet and caring nature. Her family were the most important people in her life. Irene never passed up the opportunity to visit her many grand and great-grandchildren and her door was always open, ready to prepare a meal and spend time with her children. She enjoyed bowling, playing Bridge or Pinocle with friends and family, and loved watching the Phillies! You could often find her on the phone with her sister, Rose, during baseball season rooting and shouting for their favorite players as if they were in the same room. Irene found satisfaction in working at a Norristown florist shop, where she discovered the knack for flower design. But she was happiest when taking care of newborn babies as a day care staff member in a Jeffersonville day care center. Irene's love for those children could only be surpassed by her love for her family and The Lord.
She is survived by her loving children and their spouses: Linda & Frank "Bear" McBride, Carol and Vito Pantilione, Nicholas V. and Linda Gulli, Irene "Renee" Gulli Boyer and Damon S. and Amy Gulli; dear grandchildren, Len and Karen Ross, Kelly and Mike Mayberry, Marie and Chas Graf, Michael and Emily Pantilione, Nicholas and Samantha Pantilione, Vincent and Bianca Pantilione, Gina E. Gulli, Dominick V. Gulli and wife Samantha Ruland, Amanda Rose Boyer, Genesis Gulli and Noah D. Gulli; her adored great-grandchildren, Hailey S. Ross, Eric M. Mayberry, Matthew L. Ross, Alex G. Mayberry, Ella C. Mayberry, Jake A. Graf and Tessa M. Graf, Nico E. Pantilione, Leonardo J. Pantilione, Eloise R.Pantilione, Capriana J. Pantilione, Anastasia L. Pantilione and Luca V. Pantilione.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her identical twin sister Rose Lieber, brother Richard Petkewick and grandson, Eric D. Ross.
