Greta E. Bochneak, age 88, a resident of Bryn Athyn for the past 60 years died on May 20, 2024. She was the devoted wife of the late Wallace R. Bochneak for 61 years until his death in 2018.

Born in Birmingham, AL on November 30, 1935, Greta was the daughter of the late Alonzo McDaniel Echols and the late Elizabeth Doering Echols.

In 1954, she graduated from Academy of the New Church. After raising her family, Greta studied at Bryn Athyn College.

She was a devoted wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed sewing and knitting for those in need.

She was a lifelong member of General Church of the New Jerusalem.

She is survived by her loving children and their spouses: Stephen and Lindy Bochneak, Sherrin and Mike Bradley, Kelly and Tom Treacy, Jennifer and George Pronesti, Annette and Greg Baltz and Gregory and Beth Bochneak. Additionally, she is survived by 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and by her brother, Roger Echols.

Memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 26, 2024, Bryn Athyn Cathedral, 900 Cathedral Road, Bryn Athyn.
