Elaine M. Starnes, age 75, a resident of Ventnor City, NJ, and previously of Somers Point, NJ and Feasterville, PA, died on October 30, 2020. She was the devoted wife of the late William H. Starnes, Jr. for 30 years. Born in Philadelphia, Elaine was the daughter of the late Stephen Glowacki and the late Helen Wienckowski Glowacki. She graduated Cardinal Dougherty High School in 1962. Elaine was employed at Shop Rite in Somers Point for eight years, retiring in 2019. She was previously employed at Boscov's in Egg Harbor Township for ten years. From 1981 to 1995, Elaine held several secretarial and management positions prior to relocating to Somers Point, NJ. Elaine was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She loved living at the shore, the Philadelphia Phillies, reading, and spending time with friends and family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Bill and Lynn Starnes of Warminster, PA, Stephanie and Jeff Vernice of Randolph, NJ and Bob Starnes and Tracy Malkowski of Annville, PA; and by her four grandchildren, Michael, Kevin, Sabrina and Mac. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, Assumption B.V.M. Church, 1900 Meadowbrook Road, Feasterville, PA 19053, where relatives and friends will be received from 9:30 AM until the time of the mass. Interment in Hillside Cemetery will be private.
