Edward J. Goody Jr., of Jenkintown, passed away on Jan. 11, 2013 at Abington Memorial Hospital. He was 88. He was the husband of Alma (nee Anderson) Goody. Born and raised in Olney, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Bertha (nee Zander) Goody. He served during WWII, flying over 30 missions in Europe as an aerial gunner. Edward was a member of the Corporal John Loudenslager American Legion Post, and he worked for over 30 years at the Naval Aviation Supply Depot in Philadelphia. In addition to his wife Alma, he is survived by his daughter Joan Helgesen (Brian). He was the brother of the late May Goody Lester (Howard). A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 17 at 12 noon at the Baron Rowland Funeral Home, 1059 Old York Rd., Abington, PA 19001. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 11-12 at the funeral home. Interment Sunset Memorial Park.
