EDNA M. GEIGES DOWNES, a resident of St. Joseph's Manor in Meadowbrook, PA and formerly of Philadelphia, PA died on October 1, 2015. She celebrated her 100th birthday on August 11, 2015. She was the devoted wife of the late John M. Downes. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Frank Geiges and the late Mary Fueher Geiges. She is survived by her loving children: Marilyn E. Campbell and John F. Downes and his wife, Elaine Downes, by four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, Church of the Open Door, 1260 Ft. Washington Avenue, Ft. Washington, PA, where friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Northwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Church of the Open Door, 1260 Ft. Washington Avenue, Ft.
