DOROTHY "DOTTIE" SONSTROM BALDWIN, age 89, a resident of the Ann's Choice Retirement Community in Warminster for the past 8 years and formerly of Jenkintown died on April 10, 2016. She was the devoted wife of the late David R. Baldwin for 59 years, until his death in 2007.
Born in New Haven, CT, Dottie was the daughter of the late Emil Sonstrom and the late Emily Jenesky Sonstrom. She graduated from Hamden High School in Hamden, CT and then studied Psychology at the University of Connecticut. She earned her Bachelor's degree in 1947.
In addition to being a devoted wife, mother, homemaker and grandmother, Dottie was a Tax Preparer. She worked, for many years, with H & R Block and for the Law Offices of Randal J. McDowell in Jenkintown. During her time at Ann's Choice, she served on many committees and volunteered there.
Dottie was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, in Jenkintown, for more than 44 years, where she was a Deacon and an Elder.
She is survived by her sons and their spouses: Dwight and Dawn Baldwin, Brian M. and Carol Baldwin and James A. Baldwin and by 6 grandsons and 2 great-grandsons.
Memorial service will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church, 444 Old York Road (at Vista Road) at 10:30 AM on Friday, April 15, 2016. Friends will be received, in the church, from 9:30 AM until the time of the service and after the service. Interment in Milford Cemetery, Milford, CT will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Ann's Choice Scholarship Fund, Ann's Choice, 20000 Ann's Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974
