Doris Mengert Heginbothom, age 93, a resident of Selinsgrove, PA and formerly of Holland, PA died on October 28, 2015. She was the devoted wife of the late Thomas A. Heginbothom for 57 years until his death in 2001. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Edward Mengert and the late Florence Parsons Mengert. She graduated from Gratz High School in 1938. She attended Pierce Business College after high school. She also received a BA from Temple University's Tyler Art School. Doris was employed by First Pennsylvania Bank and worked in the Trust Department, from which she retired. She was a former long-time member of Germantown Women's Club, and the Newtown Camera Club. She was also a former member and Past-Matron of Corinthian Lodge # 13 – Order of the Eastern Star. She was a long-time and active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Elkins Park, PA. She is survived by her loving daughter, Sandra H. Lewis of Selinsgrove, PA and by her cherished granddaughter, Bethany Anne Lewis. She is also survived by her nephew, Edward P. Mengert and his sons; Stephen, Gordon and John. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Sanford and by her brother, Edward P. Mengert. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, Helweg & Rowland Funeral Home, 1059 Old York Road, Abington, where friends will be received from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery.
