Obituary

Anthony J. Gulli, Sr., age 87, died on July 11, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Claire M. Mooney Gulli for 64 years. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Nicola Gulli and Catherine Berenato Gulli. He attended Northeast High School and later served with the US Army. He was a member of the Teamsters Union for 39 years. His entire working career was spent as a driver for various trucking companies. He retired from North Penn Motor Carrier and Trucking Company in Lansdale, PA. Tony and Claire married on April 22, 1957 and resided in the Juniata Park Section of Philadelphia, where they raised their three children. After his retirement, they moved to Anglesea, NJ where they made their former vacation home their permanent residence. Tony enjoyed his life at the shore, especially the times he spent with his family and fishing at the rocks. He enjoyed the seasonal, part-time position he had with the township, especially combing the beaches. They enjoyed many happy years there until their move to The Lafayette Redeemer Retirement Community in 2018. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving children; Sharon M. Fisher, Anthony J. Gulli, Jr. and Lisa M. Gulli, by his dear granddaughters; Brittany M. Fisher, Natalie J. Fisher and Courtney M. Dever and by his sons-in-law, Rodney Fisher and Joseph M. Schlupp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Elsie Walsh and Concetta Stone; brother, Richard Gulli and by his twin brother, Nick Gulli. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 17, 2021, St. Hilary of Poitiers Church, 820 Susquehanna Road, Rydal. Relatives and friends will be received in the church from 9:30 AM until 10:50 AM. Committal Service and interment will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Mark's Parish, 1025 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, PA 19007 or to St. Hilary of Poitier's Church, 820 Susquehanna Road, Rydal, PA 19046.
