ALEXANDER JOSEPH MURRAY, age 25, a resident of Philadelphia joined his heavenly father in heaven on June 18, 2012, where his loving mom and dad will join him in due time. Born and raised in Abington, Alex was the cherished son of Bruce R. and Virginia H. Murray, the loving brother of Stephen and Sofia Murray and Glenn and Kasey Murray and the dear uncle of Keith Murray and Lilianna Murray. He is also survived by his beloved girlfriend, Molly Morrow, and by his paternal grandparents, Robert J. and Norma B. Murray. He graduated from Abington High School in 2005 and studied at Kutztown University. Alex was a spirited lover of life and of his family, Molly, friends, Lucy the cat, and Gracie the dog. In addition to being a talented musician, he was a creative woodworker and carpenter who worked hard to find a rewarding job and home of his own. He was a fiercely loyal, honest and beautiful young man. Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, June 23, 2012, Abington Presbyterian Church, 1082 Old York Road, Abington, where relatives and friends will be received from 10:00 - 11:45 AM. A reception will follow the service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Salvation Army, 701 N. Broad Street, Phila., PA 19123.
